TfGM are responsible for the management of bus stations and bus depots across Greater Manchester, which includes ensuring the safety of customers and employees frequenting these sites. Given the environment, there are moving vehicles and pedestrians in close proximity resulting in the possibility of harm, which may be caused by speeding vehicles. TfGM currently has a number of electronic speed signs in place, along with standalone speed cameras that monitor vehicle speeds at a small number of locations.
