The 0-19 Public Health Services are crucial in ensuring children and families get a good start in life. The services consist of the health visiting service and school nursing service. The school nursing service is a crucial health presence in our schools that ensures there are whole school approaches to public health topics such as healthy eating, smoking cessation and sexual health. Both services also play key role in safeguarding processes. Both by identifying safeguarding issues and supporting the wider system with health input into cases.
