This work forms part of the Whitechapel Road Improvement Programme (WRIP) which continues to see significant investment in the public spaces around Whitechapel, market, and associated infrastructure, to create the best possible environment for local communities. A market stall prototype has been trialled on Whitechapel Road’s northern footway successfully for several months, and feedback collected from a large range of stakeholders (including the traders themselves) has informed the final design/functionality of the market stall design.
