SNBTS requires to attain supplies of Red Cell Reagents compatible with automated technology and is for the anti body detection and identification only and not equipment or accessory devices. Antibody detection and ID, ABO/Rh typing and phenotyping is performed in SNBTS on samples taken from patients and donors. Initial testing on Donors for Anti body detection and ID and ABO/Rh typing is by large scale automated blood grouping systems; currently Beckman PK7300 and Phenotyping of Donors is performed manually and on automated systems.
